Informational Letter
Dear Prospective Founders,
My name is Byron Rosenthal and I’m the CEO of the Mu Delta Pre-Medical Fraternity. Our organization started in UC Santa Barbara back in 2011 and we are now looking to expand to other universities. We are an all-male fraternity looking for bright, motivated, and sociable pre-med and pre-health undergraduates. We provide a professional outlet for those wishing to join the Greek community but who want to be surrounded by like-minded, goal-oriented individuals.
As an organization, Mu Delta prides itself on forming strong connections between brothers and to the local community. On average, we fundraise between $600-$1200 each academic quarter to donate to local charities. We routinely maintain among the highest Greek GPAs on campus and have numerous opportunities for professional development, as well as a robust alumni network. For its members, Mu Delta isn't simply another resume builder – it's a community with a culture that serves to steer motivated premeds in the right direction and instill in them the skills necessary to accomplish their goals.
Establishing a Mu Delta chapter requires some legwork; however, the leadership and time management skills you develop while doing so are needed in your future career. Additionally, I aim on making the process as manageable and fun as possible. You’ll work with other like-minded individuals to run a successful recruitment cycle, establish connections with local non-profits, engage in community service opportunities, socialize with sororities or other campus orgs…etc. You’ll have plenty of guidance from myself and the Santa Barbara chapter. Most importantly, you’ll have the freedom to craft your Mu Delta chapter as you see fit and form long-lasting traditions.
If you are interested or have any questions, please send them to byron1997@gmail.com. I'm more than happy to provide supplemental info on Mu Delta and the process of starting a new chapter.
Sincerely,
Byron Rosenthal
